My name is Mike Jones, and I am a self taught artist...

My art consists of the things I see around me, not so much the composition, but mostly just the light and color and shadows...

I strive to make my portraits and landscapes have feeling, have depth... my intent is to portray the things I see with a level of clarity that goes beyond what the eye, or even the camera, can detect in every day life...

I can also turn keepsake items into a one of a kind still life... dried flowers, watches, rings, books, pretty much anything can be made into a stunning painting that lets you more easily put these treasures on display...

Okay, I got new one on here, been sorta busy with life and all and haven't done much of late, but I did do a pastel of Willie Nelson over the weekend. Now, normally I don't care much for doing celebrity pictures, but this one was of particular interest to me....
